The End
A downloadable game for Windows
Gameplay
Solve light puzzles, listen to jazz, and tune in to an unfolding romance as Ben and Abbey drift amongst the stars in search of science and love
Switch between two distant space craft and trigger strange asteroids to move around in a shifting outer space setting. Be careful though, what might allow one space craft to progress might block the other.
Tune in to distant frequencies and follow strange coordinates, or simply listen to jazz to pass the time while you explore, either way you're in for a cozy outer space romance.
Story
Ben has been marooned after the destruction of his command ship. Who knows how long he's been out here.
Abbey is doing Science the good old fashioned way. Sitting and staring at distant things until they do stuff. Her ship's fuel is running low, and she's a little lost, so maybe now is as good a time as any to send some messages out to the stars.
Join them in the limbo of their love as they find their way to each other.

Phenomenal jazz soundtrack performed by Onalea
Information
- This is a game in a series of short, loosely interconnected, vignettes about two characters
- The End takes around 45-90 minutes to complete
- There are 2 main endings, and 2 variations of one ending. So, how many endings is that? 3? 2.5?
- follow me @Studio_Anneric for more information, and please see the rest of my vignettes here on itch
- You can use Numpad 2 through 5 to skip between various levels in this game. Since this was a testing feature it may have some unwanted implications, but will generally work. This also functions in place of a save system, so if you quit the game or lose progress somehow you can use this feature in the prototype
- Since this is a prototype there are a few known bugs that will not be fixed unless this game goes in to full production;
- In part 4 the cinematic might play out of sync with the cinematic audio (so lip sync on the characters is off)
- in part 3 the tuning movement after the cinematic can be slow to react when holding 'F'. Just keep holding it and it will kick in
- in fact sometimes the transmission towers in general take a weird amount of time to allow you to tune. Just keep holding 'F' until they let you tune. Or let go and try again.
- If you encounter a bug that really breaks something that can't be solved by using the numpad level switching above, or restarting the game, shoot me a message on x/twitter @Studio_Anneric.
